Director's Message

I am truly honored to serve as the Director/Principal of Sheridan Technical College and Sheridan Technical High School. As we begin this exciting new school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to all of our students, families, teachers, and community members. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of the Sheridan family.

As a former Career Technical Education (CTE) student, CTE educator, and CTE Assistant Director, I have personally experienced how access to high-quality career and academic training can transform lives. With over 20 years of experience in Career, Technical, and Adult Education—and 13 years of leadership at McFatter and Atlantic Technical Colleges—I am committed to bringing my passion and knowledge to support the continued success of our students and staff.

Earlier in my career, I proudly served as a Business Technology Educator at South Broward High School, where I launched the school’s first Academy of Hospitality & Tourism Program. These diverse experiences have shaped my leadership approach and deepened my dedication to ensuring students receive relevant, engaging instruction that prepares them for both college and career success.

At Sheridan, your child’s success is our highest priority. Our dedicated teachers and counselors are committed to providing rigorous academic instruction, promoting social-emotional learning (SEL), and supporting students through personalized tutoring and enrichment opportunities.

In addition to excelling in their academic and technical programs, we strongly encourage students to get involved in extracurricular activities. Participating in organizations such as the Student Government Association (SGA), Business Professionals of America, SkillsUSA, Drama Club, Speech & Debate Club, or Girls Who Code Club—just to name a few—can greatly enrich their educational journey. These clubs offer meaningful experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom and help students build valuable life skills.

I invite and encourage you to stay connected and engaged throughout the year. Your voice matters, and your involvement plays a vital role in our collective success. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any member of our team with questions, concerns, or suggestions.

Here’s to a safe, successful, and inspiring school year ahead!

Sincerely,
Cara Daniel, Director
