The Sheridan Technical High School Debate Team is filled with intelligent and energetic students who are not afraid of controversy and sharing ideas. Through preparation, practice, and dedication, this team continues to grow and improve, participating in Speech and Debate events on the Forensics circuit. With ambition and grace, the students on the Debate team continue to make a name for themselves and STHS. We meet each Monday & Thursday with Ms. Friedman.
Debate Regionals
Congratulations to Mrs. Friedman and our outstanding Speech & Debate team — proudly known as the Big Bad Wolves — for their remarkable performance in their final competition before Nationals. These talented students, now recognized as the Broward Champs, demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and teamwork, leaving a lasting impression and solidifying their reputation as a force to be reckoned with. We offer our sincere gratitude to Mrs. Friedman for her unwavering commitment, guidance, and tireless efforts in preparing our students for excellence. Their dedication has been instrumental in nurturing the growth, confidence, and accomplishments of our team. We can’t wait to see what the Nationals will bring! Let’s go Wolves! Caitlin U. and Nicole V. took 1st place in Duo Interpretation Malachi R. and Zaniah R. earned 2nd place in Duo. Karen F. placed 5th in Original Oratory. Razia S. placed 4th in the Student Congress.
